I am very passionate about using quality software! I do not believe anyone should have to suffer from poor applications.
Here is a list of applications you should be using on your computer to enhance its security and usability. All of them are completely free!

In addition to this list of software, it should be noted that you can increase the security and usability of your computer by keeping your software up-to-date. It is a good idea to periodically check for the newest versions of software or possible security updates. This is true of the Windows operating system too. If you have an Internet connection and Windows XP, you can click on the Start Menu and choose the selection - Windows Update. Windows will search online to see if you need any critical updates for security reasons. You likely will need them, so take the time to patch up your computer and it will save you headaches further down the road.
If you connect to the Internet via a dial-up modem, some updates you may not be able to completely download without waiting several hours and risking the chance of being disconnected from the Internet during the process.
